On the first Sunday of this year, Scott's message addressed our need to create a "Video Venue" to accommodate growth. This strategy uses technology to efficiently and economically expand our seating space by bringing the sermon to another venue on our campus. We realize you may have many questions about the Video Venue strategy. We try to answer some of them here:
Why are we doing this
We need more room! Because God is blessing this church we are close to our seating capacity in the Worship Center. We need to create empty chairs quickly.
What about the empty seats around me?
Yes, we realize that there are still empty seats (and sometimes even an empty pew) in the Worship Center. These are becoming more scarce and we need to be making room for the next 50-100 people not just the next 5.
Why not have a second service?
The leadership team (Elders & Staff) considered adding a second service. However the logistical demands of a second service would have disrupted our current Bible class schedule.
What will be on video?
Only the sermon will be on video. All other parts of the worship experience (Worship leader, prayers, communion meditation, announcements, etc..) will be conducted by people in the room.
Where will this venue be?
This venue will be in what is currently known as the Fellowship Room located on the East hallway.
Do I have to go in there?
Nobody will be forced to sit in the Video Venue. This is an open invitation who might prefer the small more intimate setting. If you prefer your current situation then please continue to enjoy it.
Is this service going to be different? (contemporary/traditional)
Both services will following the same order of worship.
How can I help?
Be prayerful about being one of the first to choose this venue as your primary choice on Sundays. Your participation will provide energy to the video venue and you will be "making room" in the Worship Center.
If you have any more questions, we invite you to visit with the Staff or Elders.
